The Culinary Federation of Jamaica (CFJ) is a non-profit organization. Its goals are to work closely with all stakeholders in support of Jamaican tourism. The CFJ also sees its role as a vehicle in the continued development of a unique, contemporary and traditional Jamaican cuisine as an important part of the tourism product.

The Culinary Federation of Jamaica officially begun on August 1, 2007.

It was started by a group of executive chefs out of the need to build the culinary arts in Jamaica

The Federation is guided by seven (7) elected board members and three (3) appointed board members. 

The Federation is guided by three core objectives:

  1. Promotion of contemporary Jamaican and Caribbean Cuisines
  2. Unearthing talent
  3. Training and education

Anyone who is involved in the food and beverage sector

Manufacturers, suppliers, hoteliers, chefs, cooks, teachers/lecturers, students, journalist, waiters/waitresses, bartenders among others 

Members are given the opportunity to ensure the following core benefits

  1. Participation in educational workshops and seminars
  2. Access to culinary competitions
  3. Networking that fosters job opportunities
  4. First access to available jobs
  5. Access to monthly newsletter
  6. Exposure to suppliers products

The CFJ hosts the annual Taste of Jamaica Culinary Competition and Chefs on Show. In addition, we participate in numerous events such as, Jamaican Epicurean Escape, Taste of the Caribbean and numerous charity and local culinary competitions.

In order to be accessible meetings are held monthly at numerous locations across Jamaica.
